Jamie Gibson
Jamie is a highly experienced corporate professional who has worked with Kingsgate since 2013 across corporate strategy and investor relations. He is a former Chief Advisor in Mining Portfolios (metals and coal) and has high level trade/investment experience. Jamie was also a Board Member and Vice President of the Australia Thailand Business Council until June 2022.
Stephanie Wen
Stephanie is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate transactions and legal advisory services, both in Australia and the APAC region. Her expertise includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and capital raising in Asian and Australian markets.
Previously, Stephanie held senior positions in the Legal and Compliance departments of renowned global financial institutions. She also served as a non-executive director for an ASX listed healthcare company.
Stephanie holds a dual degree in Law and Commerce (LL B) (B.Com: Accounting) from the University of New South Wales, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs (International Business and Finance) from Columbia University in New York. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Rob Kinnaird
Rob Kinnaird is an experienced mining professional with over 36 years of experience and has an extensive knowledge in maintenance, operating and management skills that has allowed him to successfully develop multidisciplinary teams to deliver key operational outcomes. Rob’s career history includes working with Copper, Gold, and Nickel operations, and Safety Management Systems. Rob has previously worked at Macmahon, Byrnecut, and Oz Minerals, and is a graduate of the University of Ballarat.
Rob has also previously worked at the Chatree Gold Mine, and his extensive knowledge of the operation, and excellent relationship with his Akara colleagues, will help ensure the ongoing success of the operation.
Cherdsak Utha-aroon
Cherdsak spent nearly three decades at Thailand’s Department of Mineral Resources, where he traveled across the country to explore various types of mineral deposits. With joy and passion in exploration works, he decided to pursue his Master’s Degree in Geology at University of Saskatchewan in Canada before taking managerial positions during his last 12 years there, which enabled him to take the lead in the fields of geology, policies and international coordination. He subsequently took on a new challenge as policy and planning expert in the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization).
He joined Akara in 2011 to oversee regulatory affairs and government relations. Along with his team, he is well-equipped to embed sustainability, promoting the balancing of relationship with environment and communities, in the culture and day-to-day work processes at the CGM leading to the company’s long-term success.
Chamrat Sangsrichan
A true pioneer at the CGM, Mr. Sangsrichan was part of the Chatree Gold Mine Discovery Team in 1989.
Specialized in identification and evaluation of potential zones for gold mineralization, Chamrat has led numerous exploration projects in many countries including Thailand, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia and Ghana.
Prior to his role at the CGM, he worked at several leading companies such as Newmont Exploration Limited, Thai Gold Field Limited and Siam Antimony Limited. He is an active member of Geological Society of Thailand and is recognized for his demonstrated expertise in mineral exploration. Under his stewardship, exciting discoveries are expected to be uncovered in the future.
Warong Saranrittichai
For over 21 years, Warong has been a noteworthy leader in the operations at the CGM. During his role as the Process Manager, he took pride in providing as cost-effective and safe metallurgical plant as possible. Since attending the 2004 MetPlant Conference in Australia, he further mastered his expertise and was able to achieve the reduction in cyanide consumption and secured the title of “Cyanide Code Management Champion” for the CGM.
Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and firsthand expertise acquired over the years, he plans to increase motivation, engagement and collaboration among the crew members aboard “The Akara Ship” and steer the crew towards creating the greater good for society.
