Founded in 1997, Strike Oil has been trading on the Australian Securities Exchange since 2004. Strike Oil’s office is located in Perth, Western Australia. In addition to oil and gas exploration and production, Strike Oil has established a wholly owned subsidiary Hybrid Energy Australia Pty. Ltd. This company is committed to producing quality liquid fuels and generating low-emissions electricity from its Kingston Lignite deposit in South Australia.

During 2003 Stuart Petroleum was granted Petroleum Exploration Licences 102 and 113 bringing its total land holding in the South Australian section of the Cooper Basin to over 5000 square kilometers in four licences. The Company delivered a maiden profit of $0.735 million from sales of almost 123,000 barrels during the year ended 30 June 2003.

Since listing, we have drilled seven wells, four of which are in production, with a fifth slated to come on-line in May 2008. The company had its first discovery only four months after listing, first production seven months after listing and first cash ten months from listing.
