Ross Smyth-Kirk was a founding Director of the former leading investment management company, Clayton Robard Management Limited and has had extensive experience over a number of years in investment management including a close involvement with the minerals and mining sectors.  He has been a Director of a number of companies over the past 31 years in Australia and the UK and is currently a Director of Argent Minerals Limited. Mr Smyth-Kirk was previously Chairman of the Australian Jockey Club Limited.

Mr Smyth-Kirk was appointed to the Kingsgate Board on 29 November 1994 and is also a member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee.

Gavin Thomas has had a successful career in developing mining companies from the exploration phase into mid-tier gold or copper producers. He has over 40 years of international experience in exploring for, evaluating, developing, operating and reclaiming mines in North America, South America, Australia, the Southwest Pacific, Asia and Europe. Amongst other things he was credited with the discovery of the Lihir gold deposit in Papua New Guinea, one of the largest gold deposits in the world. In particular he has extensive experience in Thailand and South America. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of the TSX listed company Mercator Minerals Limited and also Chairman of the ASX listed company Laguna Resources NL.

Mr Thomas was appointed to the Kingsgate Board on 16 November 2007.
