Plant Description
The Chatree North Gold Processing Plant includes the following key features:
- Run-of-mine (ROM) ore from the Chatree North open pit is delivered to the ROM stockpile by truck and then fed to the jaw crushers by front end loader. The jaw crusher operates in open circuit and crushed ore discharges directly onto the stockpile feed conveyor. The stockpile feed conveyor is fitted with a weightometer, which is used for monitoring the total throughput from the crushing area.
- Parallel crushing and grinding circuit Installation; Treatment Capacity 2.7 Mt/yr using a Semi Autogenous Grinding (SAG) mill and a Ball mill, designed to operate 365 days per year. The SAG mill feed conveyor is fitted with a weightometer, used for monitoring the grinding circuit feed rate.
- Leach circuit Installation (4 tanks); Treatment Capacity 2.7 Mt/yr
- Carbon-In-Pulp (CIP) circuit Installation (7 tanks); Capacity to treat the combined flow from both the leach circuits from both the existing and the new plant.
- Two parallel AARL split acid wash and Elution circuits Installation; two parallel carbon regeneration circuits; twelve electrowinning circuits and gold room
- Tailings thickener Installation to wash the tailings before cyanide reduction and hence reduce the load on the cyanide reduction facility.
- Parallel cyanide reduction circuit installation.
- Raw water and process water storage tanks and reticulation facilities.
